R.I.P. Michael Jackson {Sad day in america P2}

It was truly a sad day in America yesterday. Today the days don't seem to get no better! Everywhere I turn, T.V., radio, Internet, something about Michael Jackson is said. People are crying, celebrating, reminiscing on how good God is. I understand he has gone to a better place but it still hurts to see such a major Musical ICON is no longer with us on this earth Physically. All kind of things come to mind... his kids, his parents, siblings, fans. I can truly say the world has had a major shift in the atmosphere now that Michael {King of Pop} Jackson is no longer here. I think Tebyrd020 said it best when she said: "I really want to go out this weekend and get drunk dancing to some Michael. then go to church and rejoice for heaven's new arrival." <== Yes!! Fans of pop icon Michael Jackson stood outside the UCLA Medical Center, his rented home in Bel-Air and Harlem's Apollo Theater in disbelief as rumors of the pop star's death were confirmed. An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning, results are expected by the afternoon.

According to several media reports, the pop star suffered cardiac arrest in his home on Thursday afternoon, and the medics attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. A popular gossip blog first reported that Jackson was dead upon the arrival of the paramedics, however, conflicting reports said he was in a deep coma.

Michael's brother and former band mate, Jermaine, was the first of the Jackson family to speak of his brother's final moments in a small press conference at the medical center and said the following: "My brother, the legendary King of Pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25 at 2:26 pm. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of an autopsy are known. His personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitate my brother, as did the the paramedics transported him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14pm, a team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologists attempted to resuscitate him for a period of more than one hour, and were unsuccessful. My family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time, and may Allah be with you always, Michael."

Another one of Jackson's siblings said he learned of of his brother's sudden death through his manager, Frank Dileo, reports CNN.

"Frank told me that Michael last night was complaining about not feeling well. He called to tell him he wasn't feeling well," Marlon Jackson said. "Michael's doctor went over to see him, and Frank said, 'Marlon, from last night to this morning, I don't know what happened.' When they got to him this morning, he wasn't breathing."

TMZ, specifically, was the first media outlet to report Jackson dead, while other news sources were reluctant to report him as deceased.

A Jackson family member recently told TMZ that Michael was in "really bad shape." Joseph Jackson, his father, revealed to the media sources that his son was "not doing well."

A report in the British newspaper , The Sun, reported that a source from the UCLA Medical Center claimed Michael received a Demerol injection- a drug similar to morphine- moments before he collapsed in his Bel-Air home. The report stated after the reported injection, Michael allegedly began breathing shallow, and also claims a screen shot of the emergency dispatch computer in relation to the 911 call said the subject was "not breathing at all."

"He was looking well. He was getting ready to go into rehearsals for his tour. I don't know what happened," Marlon said.

Other well-known celebrities who have gotten to know Michael over the years continue to express the pain of their loss.

"I am absolutely devastated at this tragic and unexpected news."

"For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don't have the words," said Quincy Jones, who helped produce his best-selling albums "Off the Wall" and "Thriller." He added, "He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever. I've lost my little brother today and part of my soul has gone with him."

Michael was in Los Angeles to rehearse for his upcoming European 50 date tour.

He is survived by his three children Prince Michael I, Paris and
Bossip
